Gerald Ellis planted the vines in 1987, and Peter Dredge reckons them a combination of MV6 and D5V12. The 2025 crop was hand-harvested across two weeks, fermented on skins for a fortnight, then pressed to finish fermentation in a mix of old and new French barriques. Nine months in oak followed, and the wine went into bottle without fining.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFine and fragrant, with red cherry, dried herbs and a sappy freshness that keeps it moving. The tannins are soft and the acid is bright.
