Fruit comes partly from vines planted in 1974, the oldest on the property and the source behind the Jimmy Watson-winning Glaetzer-Dixon Mon Pere Shiraz in 2011, and partly from a newer north-facing block. The soils are the estate's usual loose sand and sandstone over iron-rich coffee rock, worked organically in practice for twenty years.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSweet spice, red and blue fruit, earth and a lick of liquorice, with grip and drive through the middle and silken fruit underneath. Light-treading but seriously flavoured.
