GG comes from the Adelaide Hills, a high, cool region in the Mount Lofty Ranges east of Adelaide, where elevations of 400 to 600 metres, cold nights and a long growing season preserve natural acidity and aromatic freshness in white grapes. The region has become Australia's leading home for Austrian and northern European white varieties, which thrive in these conditions.
