The reason is the pairing of cool seasons in the Tualatin Hills with Laurelwood soils, windblown loess over ancient basalt, which produces a Gris style found nowhere else. Seven blocks are farmed here, averaging 29 years of age and scattered across the property, which hands Stephen Webber a wide palette of flavours and structures to assemble. The wine fermented in stainless steel and sat undisturbed on its lees for ten months.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePear, stone fruit and spice meet penetrating acidity, a fleshy middle and a linear, mineral-flecked finish.
