The wine drew on Dijon, Pommard and Wadenswil clones from four of the property's best blocks, each one destemmed and fermented apart in small open-top steel vessels so clone and terroir came through clearly. The blend was assembled only after ten months in French barriques, 38 per cent of them new. Stephen Webber calls it a fair representation of the vineyard at its best.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eConcentrated and slow to open, with dark cherry, spice and mineral depth behind a supple frame. Air helps it considerably, so decant.
