This is the second release. The vineyard has been organic from the day it went in, and a small forest that Matthews planted years ago wraps around three sides of it, a genuine windbreak and habitat corridor. Three clones of Gruner cover a little over three acres, and the crop was fermented on wild yeast and raised mostly in stainless steel, with one neutral barrel included for breadth and complexity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhite pepper and green plum lead, with something more exotic behind them, guava or even a touch of rosewater, over a racy palate with a sappy, cool close.
