Müller-Catoir farms organically at Haardt, in the Mittelhaardt. This version includes young-vine fruit from the Grosses Gewächs Bürgergarten vineyard along with the classified sites of Herzog, Mandelring and Herrenletten, all on the sandy, sandstone-based soils below the Haardt Mountains. The fruit was slowly crushed, allowing a degree of skin contact, and the wine was then raised in steel tank. The result is lithe and dry, with the saline, mineral character of the house, and reads as a scaled-up version of the estate's basic Riesling with a little more drive and sustain.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink over the next six to eight years, with roast pork, grilled fish or a Vietnamese salad.
