The fruit here is all estate-grown and hand-harvested from sandstone slopes in Mussbach, Gimmeldingen and Haardt itself, and yields are held to 35 hectolitres per hectare, low for an entry wine and a deliberate counter to the younger age of the vines. The estate farms organically. The wine is dry, cool and linear in style, with tension between texture and acidity rather than weight, and a savoury, faintly iodine edge to the finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReady on release and capable of five or six years.
