The Yarra was Victoria's first wine region and remains one of Australia's leading homes for Pinot Noir, thanks to a cool climate and a mix of grey loam and red volcanic soils. This wine is aromatic and true to the variety, with red and dark cherry, cardamom and white pepper, rose and a leafy, earthy forest note, supported by good acidity and fine, elegant tannins.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTry it slightly cool, at around 14 to 16 degrees, with roast duck, mushroom tart or seared salmon.
