Michael Downer and his team farm it sustainably with a strong organic bent, which took some nerve through a cool, wet season. Fruit was hand-sorted after picking and pressed as whole bunches into tank, then racked to tight-grained French barrels at half new, where fermentation took place. Texture came from lees stirring and a full malolactic conversion. Eight months in barrel were followed by several more in tank before bottling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTense and bright, with citrus and white stonefruit over a broad seam of mineral grip. Generous in the middle, precise at the edges.
