Its old vines grow on their own roots, and the district's ancient marine sediment soils give a darker, more structured Pinot Noir marked by brambly blackberry and a crushed-stone mineral quality. The 2019 adds roasted meat, game, toasted nut and exotic spice, with strong tannins and a long, tight-knit finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDecant for an hour and serve at around 16 to 17 degrees with roast duck, venison or a mushroom and truffle pasta.
