Its position lower on the hill, on deeper and heavier soil, sets it apart from the grand crus immediately above. Olivier Leflaive established his house in Puligny-Montrachet in 1984 and has worked at the top of the white Burgundy hierarchy ever since, drawing on his own holdings and on fruit from growers he has known for decades.
