The name Cras, in its various spellings, recurs the length of Burgundy and generally points to stony ground. Olivier and Corinne Merlin have farmed here since 1987, when they took over the Domaine du Vieux Saint-Sorlin, and their whites are whole-bunch pressed and raised in barrel on lees before bottling.
