Paolo Scavino began bottling the site separately in the late 1970s, one of the earlier single-vineyard Barolo in the zone, and it remains the estate's flagship. The family has been established at Castiglione Falletto since 1921. Barolo is made from Nebbiolo alone and must age at least 38 months, 18 of those in wood, before release.
