Its sandy, calcareous marl soils sit where the two principal geological formations of the zone meet, which is often given as the reason for the balance of its wines. Paolo Scavino has held parcels here for decades. The estate dates to 1921, and Enrico Scavino has led it since the 1950s with his daughters Enrica and Elisa. The Nebbiolo undergoes a long maceration and is aged in French oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDecant thoroughly and serve at around 18 degrees with roast veal, braised beef or aged hard cheese.
