Bouzy is the best known name for the red version: a grand cru village on the south facing flank of the Montagne de Reims, where chalk lies close to the surface and Pinot Noir reaches maturity more reliably than in most of the region. The Bara family has grown vines here since 1833 and holds around eleven hectares, all within the village. This is Pinot Noir alone, from grand cru parcels, made as a light framed red and matured without recourse to new oak, so the fruit and the chalk driven acidity stay in the foreground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003ePale, fine boned and high in acidity, it is best served cool, at fourteen or fifteen degrees, with charcuterie, roast poultry or mushroom dishes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur.
