Bouzy is the best known name for the red version: a grand cru village on the south facing flank of the Montagne de Reims, where chalk lies close to the surface and Pinot Noir reaches maturity more reliably than in most of the region. The Bara family has grown vines here since 1833 and holds around eleven hectares, all within the village.
