Gadenne's plot here covers less than a hectare in the village of Saint-Jeoire-Prieuré, a few kilometres from Chignin in the commune of Myans. Because it lies in the centre of the valley rather than on the slope, the soils are deeper and hold considerably more clay than most of his other sites, which gives the wine a broader shape than valley-edge Jacquère usually shows. The vines are around seventy years old, face south and sit at 300 metres. Fruit is picked by hand, fermented in stainless steel and bottled after eight months without any oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDrink over the next two or three years with charcuterie, raclette or grilled fish.
