The sites change annually but share high elevation, steep rocky ground and old vines in sandy soil. Walker Vine Hill in the Russian River Valley always anchors it, on Goldridge soil in a mesoclimate that traps coastal cool. Castelli-Knight Ranch brings spice and power, Nellessen supplies nerve and acid, and depth arrives from the Russell Ranch and Morris Ranch sites.
