The varieties are co-fermented, which the family believes reinforces the signature of the site. Grapes are sorted, gently destemmed, crushed, then cold-soaked three days; after twenty days co-fermenting the wine goes to French oak, 40 per cent new Taransaud and Nadalie, for twenty months. The vineyard is terraced steeply above the fog line at just over 600 metres, planted to Château Margaux's varietal proportions. Vinous named the 2021 its Wine of the Year for 2024.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTightly coiled and mineral, with blackcurrant, violet, graphite and cigar box, the tannins fine and very long. Elegance ahead of weight. Decant an hour and serve at 18 degrees, with roast lamb, aged ribeye or hard cheese.
