This grower-distiller works from its own vineyards there. Early-picked, low-alcohol Ugni Blanc is double-distilled in traditional copper pot stills, and only the heart of the second distillation is kept. Oak, mainly from Limousin, adds colour, vanilla and a gentle tannic frame without swamping the delicacy of the cru.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eDried apricot and vanilla lead to a long, clean finish. Enjoy it neat at 18–20°C in a tulip glass after dinner, or mix a sidecar.
