L'Homme Mort is a climat at the northern end of Fourchaume, above Maligny, cooler and later ripening than the heart of the cru, and it is often bottled under its own name. The combination gives a Chablis with more flesh and breadth than the left bank crus while keeping the appellation's saline cut.
