This is the entry-point red in the range and gets the same detail as everything above it; even here there is genuine intensity and tannin to age on. Around 70 per cent whole bunches went into the ferment. The wine matured first in a range of casks, mostly large Stockinger, then rested in tank for the balance of its élevage before bottling in late December 2023. Magnum will hold it back longer again.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSpicy and cool in profile, with blue fruit, pepper and a dried-herb edge, fine tannin and a clean, savoury close. Ready young, and safe to cellar. Serve at 16 degrees.
