This sits at the other end: real structure, a great deal of spice, and bright fruit stretched over it. Half the 2023 is Pinot Noir from the estate vines in the Macedon Ranges, half Syrah from two blocks further north, fermented with 80 per cent whole bunches and raised in large and small oak, almost all of it seasoned, until bottling in December 2024. Fewer than 3,000 bottles exist. Think Beaujolais at the serious end, a good Morgon, grown in Victoria.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBramble, black cherry and a whole spice rack, with fine tannin and a long savoury close. Serve it at 15 degrees, a light chill on a warm day.
