The gently sloped, southeast-facing plot in the northeast corner of the property has a treeline and low hills at its back, which matters in a valley this exposed. Its first 0.3 hectares went in during 2000, at 11,111 vines per hectare, and later plantings extended the block, though the wine leans on the oldest vines. Biodynamic farming, wild fermentation in seasoned French oak and bottling without fining or filtration are fixed points here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTaut and mineral, with lemon curd, green apple, almond and a saline finish that keeps going. There is flesh under the tension. Serve it at 12 degrees.
