Mike Weersing credited these soils with a nut and crumb structure and rare mineral fertility; they sit on the limestone that runs under the whole property, on a steep east-facing pitch. Cellar treatment matches the other Chardonnay block exactly, which makes the difference between the two a question of aspect and soil alone. The 2020 carries the racy acidity of the vintage, softened a touch because malolactic fermentation ran to completion here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLemon oil, white peach and roasted nut with a saline, chalky close and acidity that is bright without being severe.
