The blend is the clearest window into the Friuli thinking that runs through this range. Cool 2020 pushed the Chardonnay, five per cent, and the Pinot Grigio, fourteen, back to a 19 March pick, and both were barrel-fermented in older puncheons on full solids. Friulano at seventy per cent and Riesling at eleven came in roughly a month later, were stomped and left on skins overnight, then pressed. The tank was racked the next day and the barrel lot pumped in over the top, making a co-ferment of sorts.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eQuince, lemon curd and dried herbs with a chalky, faintly savoury finish. Pull it from the fridge ten minutes before pouring and serve around 11 degrees.
