These thick-skinned grapes came in early April and were sorted painstakingly so only clean berries made the cut. Fermentation was with indigenous yeasts in a single seasoned puncheon with the headboard taken off, two weeks on skins, then pressing and maturation in barrel before bottling unfined and unfiltered in September 2023. Two hundred and eighty bottles were made, which tells you how experimental the exercise was.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRich gold with an orange tinge, leaping out with lychee, rose water, Turkish delight and grapey lift. Full and plump, with talcy grip from resolved phenolics and a saline thread through the middle.
