The season brought good-sized crops, no weather events, a mild summer and an early harvest. The fruit went in as whole berries and stayed on skins for three to four weeks before pressing to mainly seasoned barriques and foudre, where it matured for two years. Bryan Martin was among the first in Australia to take the variety seriously.

Sour cherry, dried herb and a lick of orange peel, with juicy acidity and a mouth-watering bite at the close. Serve at 16 degrees. Very good with a pork and fennel ragu, saltimbocca, or a plate of prosciutto and olives.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur.
