Braucol is the local name for Fer Servadou, called Mansois in Marcillac. This cuvée comes from a parcel of thirty to thirty-five year old vines grown on clay and limestone. Florent Plageoles now vinifies it with fifty per cent whole bunches, which has made the wine brighter and more drinkable; yields are low, ageing takes place in cement tank alone and the wine goes into bottle unfiltered. What results is red-fruited and sappy with a herbaceous, inky twist at the close. The label reads Bro'cool, for the brothers Florent and Romain, and the wine has become a fixture in bars à vins across France.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade for drinking young.
