A commune bottling is a middle step between a blended Barolo and a single cru wine: all the fruit comes from one village, so the wine carries that village's stamp without being tied to one vineyard. Rocche Costamagna is a long established La Morra estate with holdings on the Annunziata hillside below the town. Nebbiolo is fermented on skins and then aged in oak and in bottle for at least the period the DOCG lays down, which is more than three years in total.

Serve at around 18°C with braised beef, agnolotti or aged cheeses; a decant helps young bottles, and the wine will hold for a decade or more.

*Every effort is made to ensure the current vintage is accurate; however, variations can occur.
