Germain acquired the site in 2007 and has been replanting steadily at 10,000 vines per hectare, using massale selection so that the vineyard does not deliver a single-dimensional reading of the terroir. The grapes were hand-picked, whole-bunch pressed and fermented in a neutral oval cask, where the wine rested eight months on lees.
