Each one-shot distillation goes into a single four-year-old French oak barrel and stays three to six months, one barrel making one batch. The casks rest in a sixteenth-century stone cellar. They add almost no flavour of their own, lending a straw colour and rounding the botanicals without overwriting them.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eJuniper and orange peel up front, then a rounder, warmer middle with soft spice and a dry finish. Fine over one big ice cube, or in a Negroni where the weight does real work.
