The winery holds it back until it's around five years old, so it arrives drinking well, and the aim is to celebrate Merlot as one of the world's great grapes. Panforte, clove, kirsch and warm summer fruits fill the aromas, and the palate is plush yet structured, with fresh plum, mocha and chocolate. Savoury, supple and long, it has the backbone to keep improving.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eDecant for 30 minutes and serve at 16 to 18 degrees.
