Red grapes, Touriga Nacional among them alongside traditional local plantings, are fortified with neutral grape spirit partway through fermentation to hold their sweetness. The wine is bottled fairly young and does its slow development in glass.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMature and sweet, with dried fruit, spice and a firm spine; the magnum has aged more slowly than a standard bottle would.
