Fruit from there runs more ferrous and mineral, with fine velvety tannin and unusual complexity. Vines are worked over in several passes, with only the bunches sheltered in dappled light set aside, then berry sorted and gravity-fed to French oak for natural fermentation with 30 per cent bunches. Loose bunches and small berries in 2023 concentrated colour and flavour enough that no Mourvèdre was needed. Eleven days on skins, then 10 months in large, fine-grained seasoned French oak.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe colour is a startling deep purple for Grenache, and the wine follows: dark cherry, iron, pepper and crushed stone, with sinewy tannin. Serve at 16 degrees, decanted.
