Lodovico Antinori, who founded Ornellaia, established Biserno with his brother Piero in the early 2000s on clay, sand and stony soils cooled by breezes off the Tyrrhenian. Il Pino draws on the same vineyards as the flagship, in a blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged in French oak and framed for earlier drinking.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eServe at around 18 degrees with grilled and roast meats, or a plate of aged pecorino.
