These ungrafted, close-planted vines sit inside the Clos de la Hutte in Savennières, on the schist and sandstone slopes above the Loire that give the appellation its thin soils and small crops. Thibaud Boudignon farms organically here, ploughing and working the rows by hand, with close spacing that forces the roots down and keeps yields tiny.
