Hand-harvesting fell on 26 March in a prolonged 2021 season of cool nights and warm days, which gave long even ripening and sharp flavour definition. Ten per cent whole bunches went into a natural ferment with the balance as whole berries, and the wine matured ten months in French oak on lees. The vineyard dates from 1995 and remains one of the Yarra's less obvious addresses, which has kept the pricing sensible.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePerfumed and sinewy, dark berry with cracked pepper and a fresh acid line, tannins fine. Serve at 16 degrees.
