The fruit comes from steep terraces immediately behind the cellars that fall within the Geisberg and Osterberg Grand Crus, marl, limestone and sandstone soils that the family has never chosen to label as Grand Cru, preferring the cuvée name. Vinification follows the austere house method: whole-bunch pressing, fermentation to complete dryness in neutral tanks, no malolactic and no new oak.
