Perlato del Bosco takes its name from a marble quarried in the hills behind Suvereto, a stone used in churches and palaces across Tuscany. The wine is the estate's Sangiovese, which makes it the most recognisably Tuscan thing in the cellar, grown on the same coastal soils as the Cabernet and Merlot but at some distance from Sangiovese's inland heartland in Chianti and Montalcino.
