The blend is seventy per cent Viura and thirty per cent Grenache Blanc, from four ancient, low-yielding vineyards in the highlands around Rodezno, Haro and Villalba. Vines of that age crop very little and deliver fruit with concentration already built in. The wine is fermented with wild yeasts and then aged nine months on its lees in Russian steam-bent, untoasted oak barrels.
