Bannockburn is one of the warmest and driest parts of Central Otago, a sheltered area near Cromwell where old gold-mining sluicings still mark the landscape. That warmth gives darker fruit and fuller flesh. Blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry meet wild thyme, lily and jasmine, with a luxuriously fruited palate, dried herb spice, fine yet generous tannins and a tangy finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe half bottle is ideal for sharing two glasses with dinner. Serve at 15 to 17 degrees alongside lamb rump or a beetroot and goat's cheese tart.
