The skins, together with semi-oxidative handling, give the wine its colour, which in 2023 is a pale peach. The Valli team of Grant Taylor and winemaker Jen Parr is best known for single-vineyard Otago Pinot Noir and brings the same attention to site and texture to this white. Apricot, peach, lychee and orange peel mingle with wild sage and white blossom, and the palate is precise and silky, with stone fruit, tangy citrus, subtle spice, fine tannin and lingering acidity.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eServe lightly chilled, around 10 to 12 degrees, so the texture shows. It pairs well with spiced dishes, pork belly, Middle Eastern mezze or aged hard cheeses.
