Verget is the négociant house Guffens founded in 1990, buying fruit rather than must and handling it as a domaine would. This cuvée comes from low-yielding vines more than 50 years old, planted on particularly rich limestone at the top of the hillside. It is made exclusively from first pressings and matured for eight months in foudre, which gives an even, unhurried texture.
