Verget is the négociant house founded by Jean-Marie Guffens, buying fruit and juice across the Mâconnais and the Côte de Beaune and vinifying it at Sologny. En Tremblay is a lieu-dit at the top of the village, where the plateau's clay is broken up by the stones that give it its reputation for tension. Only the old vines were selected for this bottling, and vinification included 20 per cent new wood, enough to build texture around a wine that is juicy and comparatively forward in style, with a core of crunchy fruit and a long, tangy close.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eReady on release and good for three to five years.
