Télégramme began as a way of setting aside the younger plantings and outlying parcels, and has become a wine in its own right, drawing on Grenache with Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The vineyards sit on galets roulés and sandier soils, and the wine is fermented traditionally and raised largely in older wood, so the emphasis falls on the fruit and the site rather than the barrel.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eGood with roast lamb, grilled sausages, ratatouille or a mushroom risotto; serve at around 16 degrees.
