Carménère, long mistaken for Merlot in Chile's vineyards, is now the country's signature red grape, and here it is blended with a little Syrah and Petit Verdot. Deep violet in colour, it offers blackberry, cherry and plum with fine spice and chocolate, gentle tannins and good structure, and a long, harmonious finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eServe at around 16 to 18 degrees with barbecued pork ribs, chilli con carne or capsicums stuffed with spiced beef.
