Warm weather and late winter rain threatened an early wake-up, though pre-pruning and a cool August held budburst back until early September; from there the year ran warm and dry, setting fruit well and ripening it cleanly into the new year. Shoot thinning left only sound bunches on Weightmans Block 1. Fruit was hand-picked and whole-bunch pressed to avoid skin phenolics, settled for 48 hours, then cool-fermented in stainless steel. A small parcel fermented separately in a new oak puncheon. Fining, filtering and tirage bottling happened in early September, and the wine rested on lees until January 2026.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApple and lemon sharpness with a fine bead, a hint of pastry from the lees, and a racy dry cut. Serve well chilled, 6-8 degrees.
