Four clones grow there, three Dijon selections plus Gingin. Half of Violette's runs north-south and gives the powerful fruit in the blend; the other half runs east-west, shaded by the tree line, and gives something quieter. Lucas's contributes subtler stone fruit and depth. Each clone was picked and handled separately, whole-bunch pressed to French barriques, half of them new, for fermentation and eleven months of maturation, with half the volume taken through malolactic conversion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAromas of white peach, lemon oil and toasted nut, then a fleshy, concentrated palate with a long, structured finish. Serve at 12 degrees in a large glass.
